JAKAPA’s Transformative Impact at McKendree University
McKendree University recently acknowledged the remarkable impact of JAKAPA on our college students. Dr. Jean M. Scheller-Sampson, Chair of the School of Business and Professor
JAKAPA joined an elite group of startup companies when we were selected as a 2022 Arch Grant winner. In addition to $75,000 of funding, our founder team gained access to a network of business professionals dedicated to helping start-up companies scale.
As part of the award, JAKAPA participated in the Arch Grants Gala in October, 2022. Featured in front of an audience of over 2000 investors and business leaders, we showcased our product, our promise and our progress.
Acceptance into the Arch Grants network has provided JAKAPA’s founders with critical support to help our business grow. We are connected to potential investors and receive business coaching and network support to help us access legal advice and marketing support. We are also invited to attend a number of networking events to help us gain brand recognition and we have a pool of talented candidates who can work with us as interns, contractors and employees.
“Arch Grants has been fantastic at introducing us to the local entrepreneur network and has given us valuable introductions to local leaders who can help us scale,” said Gavin Pringle.
Arch Grants’ portfolio companies have gone on to create over 2,750 jobs in Missouri, generate $544 million in revenue and attract more than $636 million in follow-on capital. We expect JAKAPA to thrive in part due to our participation in this network.
