But sometimes the students who could benefit the most from the help of a school counselor have limited access to it. The pandemic made it even harder for students to have access to school counselors at a time when anxiety and depression were on the rise, there were academic concerns and colleges were changing their admissions process. A new policy brief from the Harvard Graduate School of Education highlights a few key considerations to help schools and districts ensure all students are benefiting from counseling programs.
